A Rare Glimpse into the life of
Theodore Archer
It is
hard to believe that I do indeed have a life outside the updating of this
little page that I am sure nobody reads; but none the less it is true. Whilst I
tend not to give too much away I thought I would give a brief insight into the
life of Theodore Archer.
When not engaging in the vast sea of internet whinge blogs, I take my writing
into trying to create a Zine. I am fairly pleased with things at this time. I
have the first issue at the rough layout stage. My co-creator and friend
Huntington Killshack, has been of great help with both contributions and fresh
waves of motivation. The Zine itself is generally focused in on a key topic.
The first issue involves tackling the topic of masculinity. The stylised format
includes articles from both myself and Killshack. Along with these articles are
a series of cartoons, comics and movie and game reviews that fit within the
scope of topic being discussed. I am also working on a novel and following the
entire Casey Heynes AKA Zangief Kid incident my book ‘Cement Pills and Silver
Bullets – The Modern Bullying Environment’ would surely have an audience. The
book itself requires a great deal of research into social psychology, and is
made up of two parts. Cement Pills is the half of the book concerned with the
bitter facts of life and our social environment that we just have to accept.
For example we are merely a highly evolved ape and as such we still retain a large
amount of behaviour associated with this. Silver Bullets is a series of advice
and tips to help avoid or help deal with being bullied. In short my theory on
bullying is this; all bullying is the result of one person to take capital or
face from one person and keep it from themselves. Almost in the same way a
person can steal money from another person. The trick is to ‘improve’ security
to deal with these thefts of capital.
Outside of writing I have gained a new hobby of Geocaching. For those too lazy
to go to google I will explain the premise of Geocaching. It is a worldwide
activity with some estimated five million people participating in the hobby. A
Geocache is simply anything from the more traditional army ammunition container
to a nano cache ( a small thimble sized tube with a thread of paper) or even
the more elaborate caches hidden in fake rocks or other locations. In one day of Geocaching myself, Huntington
and my younger brother discovered five geo caches in my local area. If anyone
is looking to find a motivation to get back into the great outdoors than I
strongly advocate Geocaching.
In political news the NSW state
and local elections took place recently. Whilst I went to the effort to number
over one hundred and eight places on the state election form, I gave no such
concern to the local form. This was mainly due to the fact that I had been yet
again moved into a different ward for the election. I am starting to believe it
is based on opinion polls. However when it came to the local ballot I surveyed
the cluster fuck of failure that were the candidates and scribed the words of
Henry Louis Mencken;
‘Government is actually the worst
failure of civilized man. There has never been a really good one, and even
those that are most tolerable are arbitrary, cruel, grasping and unintelligent’
I am sure it was most likely
wasted, however it was truly how I felt at the time. Perhaps I will make the
leap one day from arm chair critic to being involved in the entire system.
Either way that is all for now.
T.Archer.
P.s I hope you enjoy the Clips I know I did.
